Become the 22th Labor Organization to Endorse Gina Raimondo for Governor
PROVIDENCE – UNITE HERE Local 217 has become the 22nd labor organization to endorse Gina for governor. Representing hotel and food services workers, they are backing Gina as the clear choice for working families in this campaign.
“We are enthusiastically backing Gina for governor because she has the right approach to growing the economy,” said Mirjaam Parada, a cook at the Omni Hotel. "Gina understands that when working families do better, our economy is stronger. She will be a governor who rebuilds the middle class by creating good jobs.”
“I appreciate the support of Local 217,” said Gina. “I’m running for governor to grow our economy in a way that benefits everyone. We need to make sure that all Rhode Islanders have the opportunity to get ahead.”
